Pointless Ubuntu performance test

I came upon this little gem on youtube today. Why on earth people feel the need to argue the awesomeness of Ubuntu by doing stuff like this is beyond me. Ubuntu is awesome for so many reasons. Videos like this do nothing but solidify the attitude that Linux is just a toy.

Anyway, the video is kinda fun to watch but that’s about it.

    Yeah, Linux is a very-useful toy :D
Anyway, I still don’t see the point on opening 201 windows at the same time, I just like Ubuntu (Using Linuxmint here) because it brings me all the Linux possibilities without spending a minute configuring things I don’t wanna configure.
Same with Compiz, I love the scale and expo plugins, but most of it is just pure entertainment.

I like ubuntu. I loved compiz fusion! When I had it I found that it wasn’t functional enough for me. Or basically I failed trying to use Wine so I can run necessary programs for school, work, personal, etc.
If people are going to display what they’ve acomplished with ubuntu, it is truly pointless. People should submit more “how-to” videos.
How to work w/ Wine, how to manipulate the theme so it looks like windows or mac os, how to install microsoft office. There are few how to videos out there today, and most don’t show the difficulties users can possibly run into when trying to accomplish these things.
